Q. What are my payment options for home care services?
For your convenience, we accept Veterans Aid & Attendance benefits, long-term care insurance, EFT (ACH), credit cards, and checks.
Q. Who can receive in-home care?
Anyone can receive in-home care services from Inspired Home Care. We personalize our services to meet each person’s individual needs.
Q. Are your services available in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?
Yes, we can provide assistance wherever a senior calls home.
Q. Is your agency licensed?
Yes, Inspired Home Care is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health to serve Lake, Cook, DuPage, Kane and McHenry counties.
Q. Are your caregivers insured and bonded?
Yes, all of our caregivers are insured and bonded for the safety and peace of mind of our clients and their families.
Q. How are your caregivers screened?
All of our caregivers are subjected to extensive background checks, including IDPH, E-Verify (DHS), drug screenings, and reference checks.

Q. What kind of services do you provide?

Q. How do I know if my loved one needs in-home care?
When a loved one is in the beginning stages of showing signs of loss of functionality, and ideally even before then, it’s a good idea to begin your search for a care solution. Our services are customized to each individual’s needs, and modified as needs change.
Q. How quickly can I arrange for service?
It can depend on the level of assistance needed, but we can typically begin services within a day.
Q. How do I know if I quality for Veterans Aid & Attendance benefits?
- Over age 65
- A veteran, spouse of a living veteran, or surviving spouse of a veteran
- Served as “Active Military” status for 90 days during an approved time of war (WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War)
- Received an honorable discharge
- Meets income requirements
- Requires assistance with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, etc. on a regular basis in order to stay independent at home or in chosen place of residence
Q. Are your home care services covered through Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance?
Because our services are non-medical in nature, they are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid. We do accept a variety of personal payment options, including EFT (ACH), credit cards, and checks.
Q. What kind of training do your caregivers receive?
We provide each of our care team members with access to ongoing training through
Nevvon, a leading online healthcare education company for caregiving professionals. Some of the many skills our caregivers are fully trained on include activities of daily living (hygiene, bathing, dressing, using the bathroom), behavioral management techniques, incontinence assistance, walking and transfers, emergency preparedness, universal precautions, housekeeping, first aid, safe handling of food techniques, infection control, safe driving techniques, and disease management for a number of conditions: Alzheimer’s/dementia, ALS, Parkinson’s, cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, COPD, diabetes, and more.
Q. What are the advantages of home care?
Home care allows older adults to age in place where they are most comfortable, with personalized, one-on-one care, enhancing safety and independence and allowing for a continuum of care.

Q. What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?
We will provide a substitute caregiver who is equally skilled as soon as possible.
